Intervention & Findings Report

Following the discovery phase, this second project was geared up to test out a different way of engaging health and social care practitioners.  Our aim has been to help practitioners on their digital journey, so that they are better equipped to support citizens in achieving better health outcomes.

Research across health and social care demonstrates that implementing new technologies, as part of changes to services, is complex and challenging.  New technologies are often underutilised at best, and abandoned completely at worst.

A key finding during this project was that there is a lack of sufficient time to trial and embed new technologies into service processes.  The project heard that this had an impact on practitioner confidence, and ultimately the sustained adoption of said technology.  Toward the end of the project, and after lots of learning, we evolved what we started with the aim of addressing this particular issue.
